“Unsustainable”

That’s what they say:

“What has been sustainable in the past will certainly not be sustainable in the future,” David Connerty-Marin, the Department of Education’s communications director, told an audience of legislators, lobbyists and others.

Well thanks David!

It was said Monday at this conference. All rather cosy. As though it were an act of God, rather than the result of policies, good and bad, and, it must be noted, at all levels. And — to be fair — changing demographics.

What’s offensive here is the failure on the part of the DOE to accept its own responsibility for “unsustainable.”  We will bury you!  In paperwork!

It somehow puts one in mind of that old “answer” song “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels.” Full lyrics here.
