The Estivating* Blogger Returns

Ha!

“Estivating” (see below) is a bit of drollery.  In reality, yr estm’d blog’r has been busy enough this summer, traveling up to Acadie and down to the United States as well. And we’ve been immersed in the world of soil and wood and insects and the growing of things and the living of life.  We’ve been so involved with the material world that we’ve arrived at the end of each day dog tired, and, on the whole, satisfied enough with that kind of existence.

But now the children are going back to school  — every face glum on the bus we saw on Thursday!– and we again pick up our keyboard and go to work now in different vineyards.

We hope to pique your interest and amuse, and hope that you will humor us too.

Thanks for reading.

Now bring on the rats!

* OED: “to spend the summer; esp. of animals, to spend the summer in a state of torpor.”
