Let’s just dump all this at once. They call it stormy Monday, you know. Well, Tuesday’s just as bad.
First, there’s the Kevin Jennings story. Jennings, who founded the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), is director of the Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. Years ago Jennings, a teacher, failed to do anything about a fifteen-years old’s report that he was having sex with an older man. That is, he failed to report this to law enforcement authorities. Then, close on the heels of the anxious boomer parents walking to school controversy, comes an upstate New York district’s walking ban.
That’s followed by a shut-down-the-bake-sales putsch in the city. That’s right, NYC bans bake sales. Next, soymilk-only zones?
You do know, I hope, that giving candy to children is just about criminal?
Finally — remember, after this it’s blue skies from now on — public pensions are collapsing. Just thought you should know!
