Just so I’m not accused of the same trait that I’m bemoaning, let me explain the title. It’s a riff on a standard line in a number old blues and hokum songs. A remarkable find: a collection of short — very short — stories written by fifth graders at various schools in Buffalo, New York, and published in book form in 1931. They are very [...] A slide show of children from around the world, on their way to school, and in school. Photos of, among other things, some fairly low-budget classrooms! Parents have a heck of a lot of forms to fill out in the first few days of school. If you have more than one child in school, it can seem pretty oppresive.
